What we believe

Purpose: Truth Assembly Chapel has a dual purpose: 1. Win souls for the Kingdom of heaven; 2. Guide believers in the development of God’s calling upon their lives.

Mission Statement: To develop committed disciples for the kingdom of heaven and equip them to love like Jesus and share the gospel to change the world one person at a time.

Matthew 28:19-20; John 13:-34-35

Confession of Faith.

Article III of the Constitution of Truth Assembly Chapel

1. Inerrancy of the Scriptures.* We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament as verbally inspired and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.

Isa. 40:8; John 10:35; II Tim. 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21.

2. One God. We believe in one God, eternal, omnipotent, and omnipresent, manifesting Himself in Three Persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; one in nature, attributes, power, and glory.

Prov 30:4; Mk. 12:29; Matt. 28:19; II Cor. 13:14; John 1:1-4, 14, 18; Acts 5:3-4.

3. The Virgin Birth; Jesus is God and Man. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and that He is true God and true man.

Matt. 1:18-25; Luke 1:25-36; Phil. 2:6-11.

4. God, Man, and Sin. We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word, and deed.

Gen. 1:26, 27; 2:7-9; 16, 17, 3:1-19; Ps. 51:5, 58:3; Rom. 5:12; Eph. 2:1-3.

5. Salvation Through the Cross. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and rose again for our justification; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood and are saved by grace through faith wholly apart from human merit and works.

Acts 13:38, 39; 16:31; Rom. 3:21-28; Eph. 2:8-10; Titus 3:3-8.

6. Saved by Faith and Born Again. We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again by the Holy Spirit through possessing eternal, divine life.

John 3:3-16; 1:12, 13; 5:24; 10:28, 29; I Peter 1:23; II Peter 1:4-11.

7. The Holy Spirit. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person; the administrator of the Godhead, convincing of sin, revealing Christ, teaching truth, restraining evil, energizing believers in prayer, worship, and service, and is ever present in the believer as Comforter and Helper.

John 14:16, 17; 15:26; 16:13, 14; Rom 8:9; 1 Cor 6:19; II Thess 2:7.

8. The Resurrection, Ascension, and Premillenial Return and Reign of Jesus Christ. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, His ascension into Heaven, His present life there as our High Priest and Advocate, and His personal bodily, visible, premillenial return to establish His kingdom on earth and to reign as the Only Potentate, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Luke 24:36-42; John 20:24-29; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Cor. 15:20-25; 1 Tim 6:14; Rev. 1:5-7; 19:11-16, 20:6.

9. The Rapture.  We believe that at any moment the rapture of the saved may occur, when "the Lord shall descend from Heaven" to catch up HIs people to meet Him in the air, "so shall we ever be with the Lord."

John 14:1-3; 1 Thess 4:13-18; 1 Cor. 15:51-58.

10. The Resurrection of the Dead, Heaven and Hell.  We believe din the bodily resurrection of all the dead-the saved to a life of eternal glory and bliss in Heaven with God; the unsaved to eternal judgment of conscious suffering and woe in the lake of fire.

John 5:28, 29; Rev. 20:6, 11-15; 21:1-8; Matt. 10:28; 18:8, 9; 25:41, 46; Mark 9:43-49: 11 Thess. 1:6-9.

11. The Life and Victory of the Saved.  We believe that the saved are called to be a separated people; to abide in Christ; to walk in the Spirit; to enjoy victory over the world, the flesh, and the devil.

Rom. 12:1,2; James 4:4; 1 John 2:15-17; Rom. 6:1-14; Gal. 5:16-25.

12. All Believers and the Great Commission.  We believe that it is the privilege and responsibility of every believer to be a personal witness and to do his utmost to give the gospel of Christ to the World.

Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; John 17:18; 11 Cor. 5:20

13. Water Baptism and Communion.  We believe in the baptism of believers by immersion in water, to show forth in solemn and beautiful symbol of our faith in and union with the crucified, buried, and risen Savior.  We believe that the Lord's Supper is for born again believers.  This ordinance has no saving merit but according to God's Word, "this do in remembrance of me, we commemmorate the sufferings and death of Christ for us.

1 Cor. 11:23-28; Acts 2:41; 8:35-39; 16:30-34; 18:8; Rom. 6:3-5.

14. Tithes.  We believe that every Christian should faithfully give his tithes to God primarily through the local church for the ministry of the Gospel.

Mal. 3:10; 1 Cor. 16:1, 2; 11 Cor. 9:6-8.

15. Marriage.

We believe that marriage is a sacred institution ordained of God and established during the creation of the world. As stated in the Word of God, marriage is to be only between a man and a woman whose genders were known to God before conception and biologically determined at birth.

Genesis 2:22-24; Matthew  19:4-6; Psalm 139:13-16

Subsequently, ministers at Truth Assembly Chapel will not be permitted to marry individuals of the same gender.  In addition, same sex marriage ceremonies will not be held on church property.
